Lord of the Flies

At the heart of this redesign, I focused on exploring the book's central theme – the loss of innocence. This theme guided the design process, aiming to capture the emotional and philosophical essence of the story. To convey the intricate relationship between innocence and its inevitable transformation, I made a deliberate choice in typography. I used a handcrafted typeface reminiscent of youthful handwriting, which echoed the concept of innocence. However, I introduced intentional irregularities in the letterforms to create a subtle sense of unease, reflecting the story's shift into darker territories. The contrast between black text and a clean white background emphasized the tension between purity and impending turmoil.
